What to Watch This Weekend: BEEF S2, Euphoria S3 Ep. 2 & More
Three years after its Emmy-sweeping debut, BEEF is back — and creator Lee Sung Jin has assembled one of the most starry casts of 2026. All eight episodes dropped simultaneously on April 16, and this is the weekend to clear your schedule.
The setting has shifted from a Los Angeles parking lot to the manicured lawns of an elite country club. Newly engaged Gen Z couple Ashley Miller (Cailee Spaeny) and Austin Davis (Charles Melton) work as lower-level staff at the exclusive Trochos club when they accidentally witness their millennial boss Joshua Martín (Oscar Isaac) in the middle of a vicious domestic altercation with his wife Lindsay (Carey Mulligan). What follows is a web of coercion, class warfare, and escalating rivalry that ripples across four generations.
The ensemble is extraordinary: Parasite Oscar winner Song Kang-ho, Youn Yuh-jung, William Fichtner, and K-pop star BM in his acting debut. The score is composed by Finneas O'Connell — Grammy-winning producer and Billie Eilish's long-time collaborator — who reportedly scored every scene roughly 100 times over 12 months. Season 1 won 8 Emmys, 3 Golden Globes, and made history. Season 2 arrives with full 2026 Emmy eligibility and a mountain of early buzz.
Verdict: The unambiguous priority this weekend. Built for exactly this kind of binge.
Tonight — Don't Miss
Euphoria S3 · Ep. 2: "America My Dream"
Drama · HBO · 9:00 PM ET / 6:00 PM PT · April 19

HBO Max · Tonight
Set your reminder now
Euphoria's long-awaited third — and reportedly final — season opened on April 12 with Episode 1, "Ándale," to a divisive but intensely discussed reception. Tonight at 9pm ET, Episode 2 "America My Dream" continues the story on HBO and Max simultaneously.
The season picks up with Rue Bennett (Zendaya) and the rest of the East Highland alumni years after graduation. Rue is now running fentanyl across the border for Laurie, drowning in debt, in what plays as a full crime thriller expansion of the show's scope. Around her: Nate (Jacob Elordi) is engaged to a social-media-hustling Cassie (Sydney Sweeney), while Jules (Hunter Schafer), Maddy (Alexa Demie), and Lexi (Maude Apatow) navigate their own scattered post-high school lives.
Creator Sam Levinson has confirmed Season 3 will be the series finale. Eight episodes, weekly Sundays, wrapping May 31. Zendaya's performance continues to be the undeniable anchor — purely excellent, per early reviews.
Verdict: Must-watch for anyone already following the season. Set your reminder.

If you need a palate cleanser from human drama — and after this week's news, who doesn't — David Attenborough's latest wildlife documentary dropped on April 17 and is the perfect Sunday morning companion. Intimate, immersive coverage of mountain gorilla family life, narrated with Attenborough's signature warmth and precision.
Verdict: Calm, beautiful, and exactly what the weekend needs between BEEF episodes.
Catch-Up Essential
The Housemaid
Thriller · Directed by Paul Feig · HBO Max
★★★★☆
HBO Max · Now Streaming
If you missed it in cinemas, Paul Feig's 2025 erotic thriller juggernaut is now available to stream. Sydney Sweeney plays a young woman hired by a wealthy couple (Amanda Seyfried and Brandon Sklenar) whose perfect life conceals a dangerous secret.
The film made nearly $400 million on a $35 million budget and single-handedly revived a genre Hollywood had abandoned since the 1990s. A sequel — The Housemaid's Secret, co-starring Kirsten Dunst — is already confirmed for 2027.
Verdict: Gripping, well-crafted, and worth every minute of its runtime. Turn the sound system up.
